Exodus. 19:
REFLECTION
It is an awesome thing being summoned to meet with God. Moses understood this. We cannot do so with a spirit of apathy or ignorance. God is not mocked. He is Holy and in order to be where he is we must to take seriously our human condition. Holiness is a requirement for living in the presence of God. Sin gets in the way of God’s presence. Flesh gets in the way of God’s presence. Satan’s ploys get in the way of God’s presence. The Lord knows this and still he calls his people. Moses leads God’s people out of the camp 19:17. “to meet with God” they could go a few steps in their natural condition but no further. God was going to provide a way, a way to meet with God, a way into his presence, a way to live in the presence.
